Spine title, authorial name, date of publication, and decorative parallel bars in gilt. Printed on antique laid papers with horizontal chainlines and vertical wire lines. Front pastedown and recto/verso of front flyleaf includes extensive handwritten annotations/commentary in Italian in black ink script, dated 1785. Title page includes autograph in black ink script, and embossed stamp of the Boston Public Library. Rear pastedown includes donors' ex libris (bookplate) of the Boston Public Library identifying Joshua Bates as the donor, received on September 15, 1859
